That's what annoys me with Fifa and NHL. They will add women players... obscure leagues and teams maybe 3 people will ever use. NHL has playoff beards. They let you "live the life" and treat your player like a dress up doll.... all useless garbage. For a decade all I've wanted is great gameplay, solid OTP with custom players.... but most of all CLASSIC TEAMS!!! Why can't we get classic teams? 2k has done it forever. Why can't EA take the most intriguing quality and implement it

 

Yeah clearly not in a sports game, it defeats the entire purpose and premise of sports games to have stupid scripted moments. Really FIFA isn't scripted, but it has horrible AI that falls apart at critical moments.One big way to see this, play on World Class difficulty vs the AI, then try and make tackles. Generally any successful tackle you make in FIFA will either go out of the field, or be tackled straight to an opponent player.ie the game is programmed that successful tackles will have a higher probability of going straight back to the opposition AI anyways. Many little rigged things like this exist in FIFA.

 

It's like no one at EA has any idea that the 2k manager career or player career modes exist. They can just revolutionize Fifa by taking a cue from those game modes. PES too could easily increase their share in the market by focusing exclusively on developing player and manager career modes but they are so caught up in matching up to Fifa's standards.
